About Tajik National University

Tajik National University (TNU) is a leading public higher-education institution located in Dushanbe, Tajikistan. Established in 1948, the university has developed into a major centre for education, science and professional training in the country. Today, TNU operates across a broad range of academic disciplines and has approximately 20 faculties, supported by an extensive teaching and research infrastructure.
Its Faculty of Medicine is listed in the World Directory of Medical Schools (WDOMS) and admits international students. WDOMS currently records English-taught MBBS/MD pathways for students from India and Pakistan as well as a six-year MD program offered in Tajik, Russian and English.
TNU also continues to expand its medical infrastructure; a new Diagnostic, Treatment and Training Center was inaugurated at the university in June 2025.
